I’m making a change to the denim insert used inside HD Welding Hats brims, and I want customers to know what is changing before placing an order.
My supply of flame-resistant (FR) denim is no longer available, and I have been unable to restock it. Going forward, I’ll be returning to non-FR cotton denim, which is what I used before switching to FR denim.
The denim insert is the material inside the brim that helps give it structure. The replacement denim is not flame resistant.
What this means for your order
Orders already placed as of October 21, 2026: I have set aside my remaining FR denim for these orders. Based on the current production schedule, I expect to finish using that supply in December.
New orders placed after October 21, 2026: These will use non-FR denim brim inserts.
The change applies to the denim inside the brim. Your cap will still be custom made to your selected size, depth, brim length, and fabric choices.
