When I restarted High Desert Welding Hats in 2014, I made a decision about what I wanted this business to be. I wanted to continue making custom welding caps one customer at a time, answering emails myself, and building products that people were proud to wear.
That philosophy hasn't changed.
Over the years, many customers have asked questions that went beyond welding caps. Some wanted colors to match their motorcycle. Others wanted specific fabrics, decorative stitching, or details that fit their personal preferences. Those conversations have always helped shape HD Welding Hats.
Adding FR work shirts follows that same idea.
Why Add Shirts?
The answer is simple: because many welders wear them every day.
A quality FR shirt and a well-fitting welding cap are often part of the same workday. Rather than sending customers somewhere else, I wanted to offer a carefully selected line of shirts that complements the products already available here.
These aren't private-label shirts or a completely new direction for the business. They are quality FR work shirts from WoahBros that I believe are worth recommending to my customers.
Chosen for Quality
I don't intend to carry dozens of brands.
I'd rather offer a smaller selection of products that I feel comfortable recommending. As with everything on this website, the goal is to focus on quality rather than simply adding more products.
As time goes on, I'll continue improving the product information, matching shirts with coordinating welding caps, and expanding the collection thoughtfully based on customer interest.
One Order, Two Shipments
Because the welding caps are handmade here and the shirts ship directly from the supplier, orders containing both products will usually arrive in two separate shipments.
- Welding caps are custom made to your order by HD Welding Hats.
- FR work shirts are shipped directly from the supplier.
You'll receive tracking information for each shipment as it becomes available. Shipping separately allows each product to be delivered as efficiently as possible without delaying the other.
Looking Ahead
This is a new addition to HD Welding Hats, and I'll be paying close attention to what customers find most useful.
If certain shirts consistently pair well with particular welding caps, or if customers suggest combinations I haven't considered, I'll continue refining the recommendations throughout the collection.
As always, the goal isn't to become the biggest store—it's to make HD Welding Hats a more useful resource for the people who rely on quality gear every day.
